Gadget top 10
2007 is over, so the Blub will present to you: The Blub’s top 10 Gadgets of 2007
Nr10: Wacom, a brand truly worth of all the recognition they disserve. There aren’t many brands that dominate a certain market (even a relative small one like this) like Wacom. And they deserve every bit of it. In 2007, the revealed their newest product; the Wacom Bamboo. A true beauty among tablets
Nr9: Apples newest iPod made a big shift. No more typical iPod looks, but something completely different.
Nr8: Sony Micro Vault Tiny took Tiny USB drives to a new level. Although it was actually introduced in 2006, it became available here (in Europe) in 2007. And for me, it truly deserves a place in the top 10.
Nr7: The Samsung SGH-U600, an ultra thin, high performance 3.2 Mega pixel Camera phone, all put in an outstanding looking design.
Nr6: Competing with the iPod family isn’t easy, and that is an understatement. Many mp3 players tried, many never came close, but the Samsung P2 actually comes pretty close in my opinion. Sleek looking, Touch screen, new look.
Nr5: Freecom USB card: an USB stick put into a credit card format. Simple idea, but also simply brilliant.
Nr4: Media Skin by Naoto Fukasawa, Au Design Project; truly made me fall in love with its design instantly.
Nr3: Sony Rolly began with a mysterious marketing campaign, and showed us a new direction where the mp3 market could be heading. Fun Robotics like only the Japanese can make. Its dancing alone makes it deserve a top 10 position.
Nr2: The Nintendo Wii made other game consoles look pale. an entire new way of interaction in the so popular gaming market, all put it in a stunning looking design. Worth 2nd place for me.
Nr1: What else than the iPhone? A concept that dominated the mind of thousands die hard Apple fans, finally made reality by the genius Apple design team of Jonathan Ive. New technologies in a new design. A truly extraordinary buildup to the actual introduction, followed by weeks of constant iPhone talk. It would have been wrong to not put the iPhone on the nr1 spot.

1) #10 - disserve? Really? Come on, if you want me to take you seriously you should at the very least be able to use spellcheck.
2) #9 & #1 - This iPod is nothing more than a gutted iPhone. Great move by Apple to move more product, but to make it to the top 10 of a list it should be a groundbreaking product. That product is the iPhone, not its dumbed-down clone.

What about the PS3 here in Europe?
Besides everything game wise, it is an astounding peice of technology with a fantastic range of functions (especially with a linux partition!).
Surely that beats the two twin ipods you have uo here. The Touch is exactly the same as the IPhone, just with less functionality. Or if you use a modified skype.. the same.
