Apple Fat iPod nano

It’s been more than a month now, but TheBlub still hasn’t properly processed it yet.

I’m talking about the new series Apple iPods, especially the previous sleek looking iPod nano, that transformed into a very disappointing fat one.

The similarities between the Creative Zen V plus are noticeable, and for me, that aint a compliment.

What was Apple thinking? I wouldn’t know and never will, and I guess we can’t do much about it.

What we can do is think about how the new Apple iPod nano SHOULD have looked like in your opinion.

I personally really liked both the first and second generation iPod nano, so for me, they really didn’t have to change the design of the new nano that drastically. Why didn’t they just copy the previous design, and gave it a bigger screen ore something? I doubt many people would have mined the lack of creativity.

Another way I would have liked it is like the following concept I’ve made.

Keeping the thin silhouette and glossy exterior of the first generation iPod, but adding a iPod touch like touch screen.iPod nano concept touch screen

How would you have preferred the iPod nano to look like? Ore do you like the Fat Nano?

The fat one actually looks like it was built for the younger generation and I don’t see anything wrong with it. I’m okay with it as long as it’s got features that can still play some music for me.

I imagine they made it fat in attempt to better hold video content. Video content is gradually going 100% ‘widescreen’ nowadays (I imagine we might soon think of 16:9 as standard aspect ration!)
