Why it doesn’t matter that Apple products are overrated

As an Apple enthusiast, I know it’s not a rare thing to hear people say Apple is overrated. Apple enthusiast tend to react differently on those kinds of comments. Some start Yelling that Steve Jobs is the son of their God, others start crying and a couple of them will feel obligated to resort to some good old justified violence.
In such situations, I say: “I know, they ARE overrated, that’s what makes them unique”.
When you compare Apple products like the iPod with competing ones like for example Creative mp3 players, it is clear that for the same price, you get a whole lot more features in the Creative. Yet we all buy iPods
You, being the hip trendsetter you are, could argue that iPods are simply 10 times as stylish and trendy as competitors, and while that may be the truth (I surely think so), looks are surely not the main reason.
The main reason why we love our iPods is… …BECAUSE they are overrated.
It’s like the way we love our favorite sports team because they achieved what they did.
We love Apple because of what Apple achieved. We love Apple because of the way they took over the world by the smartest marketing strategies ever performed.
In a way, you can say the Apple products are not overrated, because they are overrated.
So next time an Apple basher pops the overrated comment, you can simply agree.

I will more often than not go Black Label rather than Vodka: I suppose both will get me the same “high”, but there is indeed a difference.
It all boils down to what you are buying i guess. If someone just wanted to get high, any alco would be okay. But if someone wanted quality, then Black (or Blue) it is…
I just wanted a good, not very expensive MP3 player. So went for it. Those who want sexier, sleekier MP3 will go for the more expensive Apple products.
Anyways, i too admire Apple and there are innovators! But at the moment, i do not see myself buying most of their products…
